Instructional and Leadership Frameworks

Lynden School District Selects Instructional and Leadership Frameworks – 5 Dimensions of Teaching and Learning

During the 2012-2013 School year Lynden School District teachers and administrators began to work with these frameworks as part of professional development activities aimed at increasing our knowledge and skills around instruction and leadership.  During the 2014-15 school year we formally used these frameworks in more intentional professional development for all classroom teachers and administrators.   We are excited about the work we have accomplished in the early stages of implementing both frameworks and feel that this work will result in even stronger academic experiences for Lynden School District students.

The Lynden School District is working to improve instruction using research-based model using the research-based model Five Dimensions of Teaching and Learning developed at the University of Washington.

Lynden Schools are great places for kids and we are committed to making them even better.  We believe our work with the frameworks will enable us to be better teachers and leaders and welcome your input about how we are doing.  If anyone would like more information about either the 5D Instructional Framework or the Leadership Framework, or any other aspect of Lynden Schools, please contact your child’s principal or give me a call at the District Office.
