School Board
The Board empowers a professional staff of administrators led by a strong superintendent to carry out the district’s daily functions and the pursue its short and long range goals. The School Board has fundamental governance responsibilities that fall into four major areas:
- Vision
- Structure
- Accountability
- Advocacy
What is the Role of the School Board?
The Board provides overall governance of the Lynden School District. It fulfills the following functions:
- Responsible governance
- Creating conditions for student and staff success
- High expectations for student learning
- Accountability for student learning
- Community Engagement
School Board Meetings
Regular School Board Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month. All School Board Meetings are recorded and available on our website, as required by law.
