Oral Medications: Because of changes in Washington State law in regards to administration of oral medication at school, the following rules now apply:
BOTH PRESCRIPTION AND NON-PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION (including Tylenol, Aspirin, Advil, Motrin, cough drops, cold medications, and other over-the-counter drugs) must be furnished to the school in the ORIGINAL container and must include the student’s name, name of the medication, amount to be given, along with the Oral Medication form (available below) signed by both the parent and physician. All medication should be ready to be administered and must not require any preparation by office staff.
Medicine may not be delivered by the student or bus driver. It is the parent’s responsibility to deliver and maintain an adequate supply. If the medication is delivered by the student or bus driver, the medication WILL NOT be dispensed and the parent will be notified.
