Gabby Roberts sees school psychology as a place for advocacy, for students, for parents and colleagues. She’s now being recognized for that effort, earning the 2026 Outstanding Advocate Award from the Washington State Association of School Psychologists. A Lynden High School school psychologist, WSASP says Roberts served as a member of the association’s government and public relations committee and she was instrumental in legislative advocacy and committee leadership. Roberts says her goal of advocating for the profession comes with a desire to help the students, parents and educators at Lynden. “Whatever I have done, I’ve done it with my full efforts and my best attempts,” she says. “It is an incredible honor that has not yet sunk in. I am not sure if it ever will.”
