Staff Spotlight: Heidi Jernberg Caring for the Youngest in the District

Heidi Jernberg has spent the last 15 years serving various needs throughout Lynden Schools. She’s always ready for the next challenge, supporting “truly amazing educators” across the district, all with a focus on the students and families in Lynden. 

The Role

While Jernberg has spent time at Isom Elementary and Lynden Middle School, she’s currently at the Lynden Developmental Preschool. “I love my job because each day my preschoolers come to school excited to learn,” she says, “and the preschool staff does a wonderful job supporting both our students and their families.” 

Getting to Know Heidi

Outside of school, Heidi and her husband enjoy traveling and have even taken that love of education overseas, working at schools in Taiwan and Japan. “We also love to explore the mountains and beauty of the Pacific Northwest,” she says. They spend time hiking, taking pictures and spending time with family and friends.
