Staff Spotlight: Anne Marie Peach Calls BVE a ‘Special Place’

This post is part of the Lynden Schools Staff Spotlight series

Anne Marie Peach has taught multiple grades at Bernice Vossbeck Elementary School over the past decade. Every year, though, she values the opportunity, knowing just how special of a place Bernice Vossbeck is for her and her students.

The Role

Before coming to Lynden, Peach taught at five different schools in the Kent and Issaquah school districts. “BVE has truly been my favorite,” she says. “The staff is so warm and welcoming. It really is a special place.”

For the past decade, Peach has taught classrooms covering first through fourth grades. She’s currently teaching second grade after looping up one grade with last year’s first graders. “It has been such a joy to see the tremendous growth they’ve made,” she says about the opportunity to stick with the same students for two straight years.

Getting to Know Anne Marie

Outside of school, Peach enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
