Lynden Schools Opens Highly Capable Referrals

Lynden Schools is accepting referrals for Highly Capable Program services for students in grades K–12.

To refer a student, complete the online referral form. Hard-copy referral forms for parents/guardians (available in English and Spanish) can be picked up at any school office.

All referrals must be submitted by Friday, Feb. 27 ahead of the spring assessment process. Assessment testing will take place in March.

All second-grade students will participate in the district’s universal screening process by taking the Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) during the regular school day at their school. Second graders do not need a referral to be screened.
