Christie Long Named Fisher Elementary Principal

Following a comprehensive interview and community engagement process, Lynden Schools made the announcement of Christie Long as the next principal of Fisher Elementary School.

Most recently, the Lynden Schools community has known Long as the dean of students at Lynden Middle School. She’s served in that role since 2022. Prior to her time at LMS, Long was a classroom teacher, teacher lead, instructional coach and hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy. 

“I believe that every student and staff member deserves a positive and supporting learning environment that promotes dignity, respect, and belonging,” Long wrote when applying for the Fisher position.
