Kristie Kornelis Honored with WASA Community Partnership Award

Kristie Kornelis has proven herself a leader in science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) education across the Lynden community. That effort led to her nomination along with the Lynden Noon Kiwanis for the WASA Community Partnership Award. 

Kornelis has been the lead coordinator for the annual Kiwanis STEAM Expo, a free event for students with hands-on interactive experiences. She has been instrumental in building STEAM experiences for students throughout the community, leading grant efforts and working with the local library on events. The focus on STEAM has reached the entire community thanks to Kornelis and the Lynden Noon Kiwanis working together for the good of all Lynden-area students.
