A Focus on Student Safety

Student safety is a top priority at Lynden Schools. Following an overwhelming response to the district’s invitation to serve on the newly formed Safety and Security Task Force, the group met for the first time Wednesday with a focus on safeguarding people through physical security, perimeter protection, and access protocols. The group’s work throughout the year will focus on the protection of students, staff, and the community and conclude with a prioritized list of recommendations to the school district. The group is enthusiastic about this important work.
