Last week 43 Lynden High School FFA students competed at the Washington State FFA Convention. And they showed they were well-versed in their subject areas, earning multiple state placements across categories and grabbing a first place in state in Agriculture Communications.
The convention, held in Kennewick, saw six teams place in the top-seven in state. Along with the winning Agriculture Communications team, Lynden’s Marketing teams placed second and fifth, Ag Issues was fifth, Parliamentary Procedure sixth and Veterinary Science seventh.
Additional teams competing at state included another Parliamentary Procedure team, a Conduct of Chapter Meetings team, Farm Business Management and Dairy Quality.
Brooklyn Hallberg earned fourth in state in Prepared Public Speaking. Carson Milstead competed in Extemporaneous Speaking.
