Celebrating Veterans

In honor of Veterans Day, assemblies across Lynden Schools celebrated local veterans. At Fisher Elementary, the assembly was the first for the entire school since before the pandemic. “We couldn’t think of a greater way to hold an assembly than to honor the veterans in our community who have sacrificed so much for us,” says Mandy Jessee, principal. Led by music teacher Rebecca Wright and the fifth-grade students, the students wanted to honor the “bravery, sacrifice and strength” of veterans and show that it has not gone unnoticed.
