Giving to the Community

Family Community Services (FCS) finished a busy and successful holiday season assisting families within Lynden Schools. During the Thanksgiving season, the district’s FCS program gave out 62 meals thanks to donations from the local community, especially Lynden’s Grace Baptist Church, Petro Gas and Windermere. FCS provided holiday gifts for 161 families, totaling 416 children, along with additional donations of food and grocery gift cards. “The generosity does not end,” says Margaret Vailencour, FCS coordinator. “Thank you to all who donated this year and gave 416 children a little bright spot, joy and fun.”
