LA Students Experience Hovander

Lynden Academy’s mission is to partner with families who operate best in a non-traditional school setting. Recently kindergarten through fifth grade students, their families and LA staff ventured to Hovander Homestead Park and Tennant Lake to explore, learn and connect. As they roamed trails, toured the lake path, identified creatures and foliage, enjoyed a fall scavenger hunt and ate lunch together, bonds were formed, and support connections made. This was Lynden Academy’s first post-Covid K-5 field trip, and an essential part of what makes a parent partnership program effective and engaging.
