Lynden School District is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors. School board directors play an important role by setting the direction of the district and providing its governance in support of student success. Candidates should be interested in serving the community by working collaboratively in the continuous improvement efforts of the Board and District staff.
Community members interested in serving are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be United States citizens, registered voters, and residents of the Lynden School District. The appointed director will serve until the next regular school board election in November 2027.
The application can be printed or downloaded. Completed applications must be received at the district office by Feb. 23, 2026 at 4 p.m. Applications can be emailed to lps-superintendent@lynden.wednet.edu or delivered to the District Office at 516 Main St. The District Office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Following the application deadline, the Board of Directors will review submissions and invite candidates to participate in a public interview process.
