Kinder + TK Camp
Welcome to BVE!
We are excited that your student(s) will be joining us this year at BVE! There is a lot of important information to share with you to get the school year started. First, we are going to have Kinder + TK Camp on August 18 and August 19, 2025. Letters were mailed to new students in mid-June with your session time. Those session times are:
- Monday, August 18, 2025, 9:00-10:30am; Check-in 8:50-9:00am
- Tuesday, August 19, 2024, 9:00-10:30am; Check-in 8:50-9:00am
You and your child will each attend sessions specifically for you. Students will meet all the kindergarten teachers and do a soft start practice of some of the things they will get to do at school. Parents will drop kids off in the gym and then go to the cafeteria for a parent session.
The parent session will share some tips and tricks for starting the school year off well. After the family session, there will be an opportunity to connect with one another as you are embarking on a great educational journey together with the Class of 2038 (new Kinder students) and Class of 2039 (new TK students).
In addition, parents and new kindergarten students will attend an individual conference. These will be held August 28, 29& September 2. These conferences will be scheduled times and a link to sign up will be sent to you via email after Kinder Camp.
Finally, your child’s first day of school will be September 3, 2025. School doors open at 8:45am and all students should be in their seats and ready for school at 8:55am. The first day of school is a half-day, and students will be released at 12:05pm. Please note Grades 1-5 have a different start date and that is Thursday, August 28.
The Bernice Vossbeck Elementary office is closed for the summer as of Wednesday, June 18 at 4:00pm. It will re-open Monday, August 18 at 7:30am.
