{"id":151,"date":"2019-10-08T18:35:00","date_gmt":"2019-10-09T01:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lynden.wednet.edu\/?p=313"},"modified":"2023-02-15T18:51:43","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T18:51:43","slug":"lhs-fall-drama-runs-nov-7-9-and-10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lynden.wednet.edu\/lynden-academy\/2019\/10\/08\/lhs-fall-drama-runs-nov-7-9-and-10\/","title":{"rendered":"LHS fall drama runs Nov. 7, 9 and 10"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>While Lynden High School\u2019s performing arts program is known for its spring musicals, the fall provides plenty of drama for both the performers and audience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The performing arts students will run four performances of Anne of Green Gables on Nov. 7, 9 and 10.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The adaption by Joseph Robinette creates a new dramatization to \u201ccapture the charm and excitement of L.M. Montgomery\u2019s enduring classic about an orphan girl, Anne Shirley, from her first encounter with her austere guardian to her thrilling graduation from Queen\u2019s Academy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The play aims to faithfully recreate the memorable events and characters from the novel while including the tragedies and triumphs that mark Anne\u2019s growth from adolescence to early adulthood.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The performances are set for Judson Hall at the Main Street Campus at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7; 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9; and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10. Tickets are general admission seating, available at the door. Only cash is accepted.
