Over 450 Lynden fifth through eighth graders participated in a Lynden Schools-hosted career fair on May 3. A special thanks to the 18 businesses, agencies and individuals who volunteered their time to present about their jobs. The energy and enthusiasm from the presenters gave students the opportunity to learn what skills and schooling is required to move forward in their respective fields. The career day is part of the district’s goal in helping students become college, career and citizenship ready by giving students face-to-face experiences with the local community to hear first-hand what a bright future can look like.
