Lynden Schools named Tim Doering, a 20-year veteran of the district, as the new principal for Isom Elementary, effective summer 2019.
Doering has served as a teacher at Isom for over 20 years. “Throughout that time, he has distinguished himself as a master teacher and participated in a variety of professional development opportunities as well as serving in numerous roles and as a teacher-leader,” says Jim Frey, superintendent.
During the interview process to replace outgoing principal Patrick McClure, Doering distinguished himself “as an individual with strong personal relationship skills focused on building effective teams and a student-centered culture that meets the needs of all students.”
Isom Elementary, one of three K-5 schools within the district, has an enrollment of approximately 515 students.
