The Lynden School District is currently seeking community member applicants to serve on a pair of advisory committees to the superintendent. It is the Lynden School District\u2019s belief that partnering with our community is an important piece of building strong and safe schools that will serve students well. Community members are invited to apply for one or both of these opportunities. Below is a more detailed description of the focus and goals of each of the teams. Community Connections Team<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynden School District is seeking community applicants to serve on its Community Connections Team for the 2022-2023 academic school year. Team members will help identify key topics important to the community and serve as an advisory to the superintendent. The series of four, 1.5-hour sessions are tentatively planned for 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 15, Jan. 17, March 21 and June 6. Additional meetings or activities designed to engage the larger community may be added based on the interests of the group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested citizens can complete a\u00a0Community Connections Team Application<\/a>. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 24, 2022, and committee selections will be announced by early November.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facilities Planning Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynden School District is seeking community applicants to serve on its Facilities Planning Committee. Team members will analyze recommendations of a recently completed review of current facilities and enrollment forecasts, discuss educational and extra-curricular program plans and make recommendations to the Lynden School Board regarding long-range capital facility improvements. A series of five, 1.5-hour sessions are tentatively planned for 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 3, Dec. 5, Dec. 19, Jan. 9 and Jan. 26. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested citizens can complete a Facilities Planning Committee Application<\/a>. Applications will be accepted through Oct. 24, 2022, and committee selections will be announced by the end of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
