She is an uplifter, an encourager, a challenger, and a leader in all that she does. We will miss her greatly but will be forever grateful for all that she taught us.\u201d&nbsp;<em>\u2014 Rex Fraser, BVE principal<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kristen Bock, Community Transitions Teacher, District Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>30 years in education; 21 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKristen has served the Lynden School District since 2005, working in several buildings and roles. In her current position as a Community Transition teacher, she has helped students successfully prepare for life beyond school. She is known for seeing and developing each student\u2019s potential, collaborating with community partners, and mentoring new teachers. Her contributions have made a meaningful and lasting impact on both students and staff.\u201d&nbsp;<em>\u2014 Rebecca Morgan, Director of Special Education<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pam Hall, Student Services Coordinator, District Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>30 years in education; 18 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPam Hall has been working in the Lynden School District since 2008. She started as the district special education secretary and later transitioned into the role of student services coordinator. During this time Pam has provided outstanding support to a wide range of programs in the district including preschool, special education, nursing, counseling and family community services. Pam is deeply appreciated for her caring attitude, positivity, professionalism and dedication to the students, staff and families that she has served.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp;<em>\u2014 Tim Metz, Director of Student Services<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nancy Jones, Music Teacher, Bernice Voosbeck<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>28 years in education; 21 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNancy Jones will be remembered for the love of music she shared so generously with our students over the years. Nancy has a true gift for helping children find joy, confidence and connection through song. Her classroom has been a place where students could discover their voices, take creative risks and experience the power of music together. She has left a lasting mark on our school community, and we will miss her greatly while remaining forever grateful for all she has given to our students and staff.\u201d&nbsp;<em>\u2014 Rex Fraser, BVE principal<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wendy Kramme, Tech Coach, Lynden Middle School<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>34 years in education; 34 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWendy has been the consummate professional educator. She&#8217;s been at the same school\u2014LMS\u2014for over three decades.\u00a0In this time, she has seen an incredible number of changes in schools and different staff members come and go.\u00a0Her time spans the floppy disc era all the way to laptops for every student. Yet through all the changes in the school system, Wendy remained consistent to her core values of serving and supporting students and staff members each and every day. Wendy has always been learning-focused, a great listener and a positive contributor to the school community. She will be greatly missed.\u201d\u00a0<em>\u2014 Vince Riccobene, LMS principal\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Amy Miller, Interventionist, Fisher Elementary<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>31 years in education; 28 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAmy Miller built an exceptional intervention program at Fisher Elementary that has had a lasting impact on both students and staff. She not only supported students with care and expertise but also partnered closely with teachers to meet the ever-growing needs in their classrooms. Amy\u2019s willingness to share her knowledge strengthened the collective capacity of our team and elevated our entire school community. Her dedication and collaborative spirit will be deeply missed.\u201d \u2014&nbsp;<em>Christie Long, Fisher principal<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Denise Moffat, Paraeducator, Bernice Vossbeck<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>21 years in education; 19 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDenise Moffat has had a greater impact on BVE than I believe she&#8217;ll ever realize or admit. Her kindness and warm smile greet our staff and students daily as they walk through the doors and you wouldn&#8217;t believe the way our students light up when they see her in the morning. Whether it&#8217;s taking one of our new families on a tour or running one of her reading groups, Denise&#8217;s positivity and kindness is undeniable.\u201d&nbsp;<em>\u2014 Rex Fraser, BVE principal<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kaaren Salminen, Kindergarten Teacher, Bernice Vossbeck<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>39 years in education; 39 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s hard to imagine what BVE will be like without\u00a0Kaaren Salminen&#8217;s leadership and drive. Kaaren was a daily reminder to all of us that there aren&#8217;t shortcuts to success, but that with hard work and consistency it can almost always be guaranteed. Kaaren pours so much love and care into our earliest learners, and we couldn&#8217;t be more grateful for all that she&#8217;s given to help shape BVE into the incredible place that it is.\u201d\u00a0<em>\u2014 Rex Fraser, BVE principal<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peter Witecki, Community Transitions Paraeducator, District Office<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>30 years in education; 30 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPeter has been a dedicated member of the Lynden School District since 2004 supporting students and helping them build skills for success. In his role at the Community Transitions program, he has supported many students in developing job skills in the community and played a key role in the dog bone business that is run by the students as a learning tool. His commitment and care have made a difference in the lives of countless students.\u201d&nbsp;<em>\u2014 Rebecca Morgan, Director of Special Education<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christina Weeks, Speech Language Pathologist, Bernice Voosbeck<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>31 years in education; 31 years in Lynden<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cChristy Weeks has served as a speech language pathology assistant in the Lynden School District for more than 30 years, supporting the communication needs of countless students over the years.
