An uncommon graduation story

An uncommon graduation story

It was an early graduation a long time in the making this winter for one current Lynden Academy student.

This student, who was two years past her senior year of traditional K-12 education, joined Lynden Academy to polish off one final credit needed to graduate. “Through hard work and determination, they finished that last class and earned an ‘A,’” says Ellie Meenk of Lynden Academy. “Upon graduation, the student voiced how excited they were because new opportunities would now be open for them, including different jobs and post-secondary education.”

Meenk says this type of experience gave everyone at Lynden Academy a jolt of excitement. “The thrilled look in the eyes of a student who realizes that they completed a difficult task,” she says, “the realization that they just changed their future is worth more than a million dollars.”
