Winter Strengthening Families Program in ENGLISH and SPANISH
Being a youth or a parent today can be challenging and sometimes overwhelming, especially so, as youth are in their middle school years. Strengthening Families is a nationally recognized, evidence-based program that includes trainings for parents and youth teaming side-by-side and growing together. Parents will build on their strengths in showing love and setting limits. Youth will develop skills in handling peer pressure and building a positive future.
Lynden School District and WSU Whatcom County Extension present the Strengthening Families Program for parents and their youth (ages 10-14) in English and Spanish on Thursday evenings February 9th – March 30th from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Lynden Middle School. Total cost is $5/session for a family, which includes dinner for all and child care for younger siblings.
