HOW YOU CAN HELP
often get asked for ideas of ways to help the families we serve. Due
to the confidential nature of our services, we find that although
volunteer options are limited, there are many things that we like to
have available to support families if you are willing and able to make a
free to give us a call if you have a group you are working with and
want to offer something not listed here. We are part of a very generous
community and enjoy working with you to give back.
Immediate Needs (posted as needs arise)
you would like to donate items to help local families, the following is
a list of things that we try to keep available all year:
Large backpacks suitable for middle and high school
supplies needed: 1 1/2" and 2" binders, dividers, color pencils, composition books. (We currently have a good supply of most other items.)
Personal care items such as shampoo and conditioner, soap/wash, adult toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant
Baby items such as wipes and small quantities of diapers
Household products for cleaning and/or laundry
Clean, gently used clothing for clothing bank (infant through young adult primarily)
Dishes, pots/pans and utensils, blankets, towels
Sweatpants, leggings or skinny jeans (neutral
colors in all sizes) for kids that have an emergency, tear
their clothing, or aren't dressed warm enough for the conditions.
Very gently used soccer, baseball, or football cleats
cannot directly accept larger items such as furniture or appliances
but may be able to connect you with a family in need. Please call our
office at 360-354-1549 to let us know what you have available and we'll
do our best to find a home for it.
Although your support is greatly appreciated, we are unable to offer a receipt of donations to be used for tax purposes.
